Kristen Anne Bell (born 1980) is a famous American performer and actress. She was born and raised in Huntington Woods, Michigan, and is the daughter of Lorelei (Frygier) who is a nurse as well as Tom Bell, a television news director. Her mother is Polish and her father German, English Irish and Scottish. Kristen was already an accomplished entertainer at an early stage. She was able to land her first acting role in the auditions for Raggedy Ann & Andy. Bell had an agent appointed by her mother before the age 13 and she was subsequently hired as a model for newspapers and television commercials. Also, she began private acting classes at that time. Bell played a brief, uncredited performance as a character Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell was part of the drama and musical groups of Shrine Catholic High School. The Wizard of Oz production at the high school she attended earned her the role of the lead Dorothy part. Bell studied in musical theater at the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts located in New York City after graduating. Bell graduated from the school in 2001, when she was cast in the role Becky in the film Tom Sawyer. In the same year, she starred in Pootie Tang, but the scene in which Bell appeared was cut. In the end, there is only a credit sequence. Bell appeared with Angela Bettis and Liam Neeson in 2002's Broadway revival of The Crucible.
