Marcia Gay Harden

Marcia Gay Harden is the third child of five brothers born in La Jolla on 14 August 1959. Beverly Bushfield was the mother of her child and Thad Harden who was serving in the military service, was her father. They moved a lot- she first became interested in theatre while the family lived in Greece and had been to plays in Athens. Harden went on to study at American Universities across Europe and then came back to the US in 1983 to finish her studies at the University of Texas. She graduated with an MFA from NYU and began her acting career. Her previous roles included one film in 1986 with The Imagemaker, but her first role as a principal was in Miller's Crossing, the Coen Brothers funny, humorous homage to gangster movies. Harden was praised for her performance in the movie, which was sexy and raunchy as Verna as a stunning, dangerous woman. Harden also played supporting characters. She played Ava Gardner, a TV biopic based on Frank Sinatra. Marcia Marcia Marcia
