Jill Hennessy
The Edmonton native is and has a mixture of Irish, Italian and Swedish origins, in addition to French, Ukrainian French as well as Swedish. She has a twin sister named Jacqueline is also an actor. Jill began to master different languages, such as Italian, French, Spanish while growing to. At twelve, she became attracted to acting. Her acting journey began in Toronto with David Cronenberg's Dead Ringers playing an escort together with her twin sister. Following her improv classes with Deb Kimmet, who was a student at Second City, she began her acting career in Toronto. Two years later, she relocated into New York and signed a contract for the role of assistant District Attorney Claire Kincaid on the long run of the hit show, Law & Order. In the time the actress was in New york working on film projects that featured feature actors like RoboCop 3 (1993), Ron Howard's The Paper (1996) and I Shot Andy Warhol (1996). In the years that followed she landed roles on some forgettable movies. Then, in 1999 she landed a starring position in the miniseries uremberg with Alec Baldwin. Autumn in New York followed the show, along with Exit Wounds. The actress was cast as the lead for The NBC criminal drama Crossing Jordan in 2001. In 2007, she won the Gracie Allen Award for "Outstanding female actor in a drama" in recognition of her role on the show. In 2000, she was married to another actor Paolo Mastropietro. The couple has two kids. In 2007 She was inducted into the Canadian Walk of Fame.
